Join OSM Thome as Motorman / Oiler on an offshore well stimulation vessel operating out of Amsterdam. You will support safe and reliable engine room operations and help keep all machinery running smoothly for offshore work.
Key responsibilities
- Assist engineers in operating and maintaining main and auxiliary engines
- Carry out routine engine room rounds and report any abnormalities
- Perform cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Assist with bunkering, fuel transfers, and machinery checks
- Follow safety procedures and support safe working practices at all times
- Keep engine room and workshops clean, tidy, and well organized
Requirements
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) seafarer documents and STCW certificates
- Previous sea service in the engine department, preferably on offshore or similar vessels
- Good knowledge of basic engine room operations and maintenance
- Medically fit for offshore and seagoing duties
- Good English communication and ability to work in an international crew
