Why this role is different
- Your entries go straight into the database large companies use to see which rules apply to them.
- You cover your own jurisdictions and topics, and keep them complete and current.
- AI gives you the first read of every regulation. You check it and decide what goes in.
A note from Danali
Hi, I'm Danali, and I manage our regulatory team. In simple words, this is an entry position: data entry, research and analysis of regulations, with AI to help. You don't need to be an expert. A basis in sustainability and law is enough. The team reviews your work and helps you get better, fast. If you enjoy learning that way, I'd love to meet you.
What you will do
- Analyze regulations with AI tools and enter them into the database, about 60% of your time
- Research new regulations, directives and reporting frameworks in your jurisdictions, about 30% of your time
- Take on ad-hoc research when a client asks about a specific rule or market
- Check your own entries and those of colleagues as part of the team's quality workflow
- Help with data quality projects that make the database more complete
In practice
- Tools: AI tools for the first analysis of each regulation, and Excel for data checks and simple formulas
- Jurisdictions and topics: national and international rules, from EU directives to reporting frameworks and guidelines
- Deliverables: database entries with issuer, scope, effective date, sanctions, a short description and topics
What you bring
You are at the start of your career, precise, and glad to get feedback on your work.
- A degree in law, sustainability, public policy or a related field
- A basic understanding of sustainability and how regulation works, enough to read a rule and explain it
- Fluent written English: you write clear, correct summaries that others can rely on
- You live in the Netherlands and can be at our Leeuwarden office every Thursday
- Available full time for six months, starting as soon as possible
No need to match every point. If the core of this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI tools for research or analysis
- Understanding of the difference between hard law and soft norms
- Familiarity with legal databases
