Your responsibilities and tasks
- Preparing and supervising mechanical work (TIG welding / piping)
- Involved in preparing cost estimates and quotations
- Planning maintenance and mechanical work on machinery and installations
- Organizing and monitoring work permits
- Providing instructions to all mechanical technicians (focus) and to other subcontractors like electricians or insulators
- Supervising work activities and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance
- Managing the return of materials and tools (during and after work activities)
- Reporting work progress and completed activities to the project manager/responsible person
Responsibilities
- Maintaining clean and safe workplaces
- Reporting on completed work activities
- Ensuring compliance with the customer's safety regulations and site rules
- Acting as the contact person between GEA and the customer
- Overall work planning and coordination
- Cost control : keep working hours under control and within budgeted number of hours
- Ensuring the workplace is left clean and orderly upon completion of the work
- Completing incident reporting forms correctly in the event of any emergencies or incidents (calamities)
- Performing safety inspections and toolboxes with work staff
Your profile and qualifications
- Mechanical training and experience (including knowledge of TIG welding and thin-wall piping systems in the food industry)
- VCA-VOL (Safety Certificate for Operational Supervisors)
- Experience with leading teams on site
- Willing to work on different customer locations within the Netherlands and possibly Belgium About GEA
