Job Purpose
ViiV Healthcare is seeking an experienced Market Access Lead to join the Netherlands Leadership Team.
This is a highly strategic leadership position responsible for shaping access, reimbursement, pricing, and value strategy for ViiV's HIV portfolio in the Netherlands.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in accelerating access to current and future HIV innovations by transforming real-world evidence, health-economic insights, and healthcare-system data into compelling value propositions that influence reimbursement decisions and support sustainable adoption.
As a member of the Netherlands Leadership Team, the Market Access Lead will serve as a trusted advisor to the Country Manager and influence key business decisions through an access and value lens.
This role is ideally suited for a leader who combines strong health-economic expertise with strategic thinking, executive presence, and the ability to influence complex stakeholder environments.
Responsibilities
Access & Reimbursement Strategy
- Develop and execute national market access strategies for current and future HIV assets.
- Lead reimbursement readiness planning for new products and indications.
- Anticipate and address reimbursement risks and opportunities.
Value Evidence & Payer Influence
- Translate Dutch real-world evidence, local cohort data, and healthcare insights into compelling payer value propositions.
- Develop reimbursement and access narratives addressing affordability, budget impact, healthcare resource utilisation, and long-term value.
- Lead payer engagement and reimbursement negotiations through evidence-based strategies.
Pricing Strategy & Governance
- Lead national pricing strategy across the portfolio.
- Coordinate local pricing governance processes and decision making.
- Ensure alignment between pricing, reimbursement, and access objectives.
- Partner with regional and global stakeholders on pricing decisions.
Strategic Leadership
- Serve as a member of the Netherlands Leadership Team.
- Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Country Manager and cross-functional leadership team.
- Influence key business decisions through an access and value lens.
Future Access Readiness
- Develop access strategies for future pipeline assets.
- Identify evidence, reimbursement, and pricing requirements early.
- Ensure access considerations are integrated into launch planning.
Strategic Access Transformation
- Identify systemic access barriers limiting adoption of innovation.
- Support access-readiness diagnostics for priority opportunities.
- Convert insights into strategic actions that accelerate adoption and improve access.
Why You?
Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals
- Advanced degree in Health Economics, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, Medicine, Business, or related field.
- Significant experience in Market Access, Pricing, HEOR, Reimbursement, or Health Policy.
- Strong understanding of the Dutch healthcare and reimbursement environment.
- Experience engaging with payers, reimbursement bodies, and healthcare decision makers.
- Experience developing value propositions, economic arguments, and reimbursement strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing capabilities.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus
- Experience in HIV, infectious diseases, specialty care, or highly innovative therapies.
- Experience with pricing governance processes.
- Experience working within international organizations.
- Established network within the Dutch healthcare ecosystem.

Dutch Salary Range: EUR 84,000 to EUR 140,000The annual gross base salary range for new hires in this position is listed above for each applicable location. These ranges take into account a number of factors including the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position may offer an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
