About Evora Labs
Evora Labs develops technology for the operation, integration, and management of battery energy storage systems and other distributed energy assets.
Our platform helps energy asset owners integrate assets, achieve market readiness, maintain operational availability, and manage technical requirements across energy markets and grid services.
About the role
As Asset Prequalification & Operations Lead, you will be responsible for managing the prequalification of energy assets for participation in ancillary services and other electricity-market services.
You will also support the integration, commissioning, and operation of battery energy storage systems (BESS), working across technical systems, grid requirements, asset owners, technology suppliers, and market participants.
The position combines energy-market prequalification, technical asset operations, BESS integration, project coordination, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
Key responsibilities
Manage end-to-end prequalification processes for battery energy storage systems and other flexible energy assets.
Coordinate with transmission system operators, grid operators, balance service providers, optimizers, asset owners, EPCs, and equipment suppliers during qualification and integration processes.
Prepare technical documentation, test documentation, operational procedures, and supporting material required for asset qualification.
Support commissioning, integration, and operational readiness of BESS projects.
Monitor and support the operation of live energy assets.
Investigate operational issues, alarms, communication problems, control-system issues, and asset-performance deviations.
Support troubleshooting and coordination of corrective actions together with customers, suppliers, and technical teams.
Support the integration of battery management systems, power conversion systems, energy management systems, meters, controllers, and other site equipment.
Support communication and data integration between energy assets, control systems, optimizers, and external platforms.
Contribute technical expertise during customer discovery and pre-sales activities.
Develop and improve processes for prequalification, commissioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operation of energy assets.
Support customers and partners throughout asset onboarding, qualification, commissioning, and ongoing operation.
Support technical sales discussions with customers and partners.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in energy systems and practical experience working with battery energy storage systems or other distributed energy resources.
You should have:
University degree in energy engineering, electrical engineering, power systems, automation, or a related technical field.
Professional experience within the energy sector.
Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), ancillary services, balancing markets, grid services, or asset prequalification.
Experience coordinating or executing technical testing and commissioning activities.
Experience with BESS integration, EMS, controllers, PCS, BMS, meters, or similar energy systems.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications, test requirements, and operational data.
Experience troubleshooting technical and operational issues affecting energy assets.
Ability to coordinate activities across customers, suppliers, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
Meritorious experience
It is considered an advantage if you have experience with:
Nordic ancillary-service markets.
FCR, aFRR, mFRR, or similar balancing services.
SCADA, IoT, edge controllers, APIs, or remote-monitoring systems.
Development of operational software or digital tools for energy assets.
Personal profile
You are technically hands-on and comfortable taking ownership of complex energy projects from qualification and integration through ongoing operation.
You work systematically, document technical work carefully, and are comfortable investigating problems across hardware, software, communications, and energy-market requirements.
You can work independently while coordinating closely with customers, technology providers, grid stakeholders, and software-development teams.
Because Evora is an early-stage technology company, you should also be comfortable working in an environment where processes are continuously developed and where technical experience from real projects is used directly to improve the product.
What we offer
You will join Evora Labs at an early stage and take a central role in developing how distributed energy assets are qualified, integrated, and operated.
The position provides the opportunity to work directly with battery energy storage projects, energy-market participation, asset operations, and the development of software and automation tools for the energy industry.
The role is based in Stockholm, with travel to customer and project sites when required.
