Vacancy description
Join FrieslandCampina’s global Finance Traineeship and start a challenging three-year journey in which you build broad Finance experience across the business. Through two rotations of 18 months, you will work in different Finance environments, contribute to real business priorities and develop the skills to become a future Finance professional.
The program combines local responsibility with international exposure. You will be part of a global trainee cohort and may gain experience in different countries or OpCos, for example in our financial shared services hubs in Budapest and Kuala Lumpur. Across your rotations, you could work close to operational finance processes or contribute to strategic roles where financial insights help shape business decisions and value creation.
Example rotations
Commercial controller
In this role, you will act as a financial business partner for the commercial organisation. You will build a strong understanding of costs, profit, KPIs, cash flows, balance sheet items and overdue positions, and translate these insights into clear recommendations for the business. Your analytical skills will help identify trends, explain performance and support decision-making at an international level. At the same time, you will work closely with marketing and sales colleagues across different countries, contributing to commercial plans, pricing discussions and strategic choices that support sustainable business growth.
Value Chain controller
As Value Chain Controller, you will create financial insight into the end-to-end cheese value chain within the ERA supply chain. You will analyse volumes, costs, value flows, cost prices, allocations, ripening, co-packing and transport movements, and translate these insights into improvement opportunities. By quantifying potential savings and supporting concrete improvement plans, you will help strengthen performance across the value chain.
You will work closely with plant controllers, ripe and co-pack controllers and senior Finance stakeholders. The role goes beyond analysis: you will support implementation, savings tracking, cost comparisons and reporting, while building strong stakeholder management and project management skills in the heart of FrieslandCampina.
You will join a global trainee cohort with talents from different functions, countries and backgrounds. Together, you will be part of an energetic learning community where you can exchange ideas, share experiences and build a strong network across FrieslandCampina. In your day-to-day role, you will be supported by your team and line manager, while the broader trainee community gives you the opportunity to learn from different perspectives and discover how our business comes together across the globe.
