International Student Support Assistant

International Student Support Assistant – Freelance

We are looking for a reliable and friendly person based in or near Cartagena to provide practical on-ground support to international students attending the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia – UCAM Cartagena Campus.

This is a flexible, assignment-based freelance role. The number and timing of assignments will depend on student arrivals and support requirements.

Main responsibilities: Meet students at airports, train stations or bus stations.

Accompany students to their accommodation.

Provide an orientation of the university area, city and public transport system.

Assist students with purchasing SIM cards and opening bank accounts.

Support students with local registration and NIE/TIE or residence-permit procedures.

Help with accommodation matters and landlord communication.

Accompany students to appointments.

Assist with submitting or collecting documents when required.

Provide occasional follow-up support.

Complete simple reports after each assignment.

Requirements: Currently living in or near Cartagena.

Good knowledge of Cartagena and its public transport system.

Good spoken and written English.

Spanish language skills are strongly preferred.

Reliable, organised and comfortable supporting international students.

Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Able to travel to airports, stations, student accommodation and the UCAM Cartagena area.

Knowledge of Spanish administrative procedures is an advantage.

A driving licence and access to a car are advantageous but not essential.

Payment of €50 for each completed student arrival-support assignment.

€7 per hour for additional support.
