Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Develop and maintain detailed software specifications and implement high-quality, scalable, and efficient code using Perl or other scripting language (e.g. Shell Scripting)
- Design, develop and execute comprehensive unit tests, integration tests and system tests to ensure software meets quality, security, and performance standards
- Provide IT operational support for Process Control Solutions and participate in a 24/7 support rotation for manufacturing solutions, as required
- Perform ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization of software systems to ensure optimal performance, scalability and reliability
- Work in cross‑functional global teams and follow DevOps practices and methods
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- A degree in Computer Engineering or a similar field of studies
- 2+ years of hands-on software development experience using Perl or other scripting languages in a Linux environment
- Proven track record of successfully planning, designing, and implementing complex systems
- Knowledge of C# and Windows operating systems is considered a plus
- Proficiency in agile development methods
- Experience within the semiconductor industry is a significant plus, although not mandatory
- Strong communication skills in English
We are filling this position through one of our leasing partners. A valid work permit for Austria (RWR+ Card) or EU citizenship is a prerequisite for this position. This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees of EEI with a minimum salary of € 3.888,53 (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
