About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Cloud Enterprise Architect to provide strategic oversight and governance for cloud solutions in an international financial environment.

This role focuses on architectural integrity, standards, security, risk, compliance, and cloud strategy rather than day-to-day coding or infrastructure provisioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the cloud portfolio roadmap in line with business and regulatory objectives;
• Define architectural guardrails for data residency, GDPR, DORA, and banking regulations;
• Establish cloud security, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and cost-management standards;
• Assess cloud applications, risks, maturity, and migration priorities;
• Create architectural blueprints, design patterns, and reference frameworks;
• Guide teams on cloud-native architecture, APIs, DevOps, analytics, and AI/ML;
• Validate emerging technologies and coordinate Proofs of Concept;
• Present risks, progress, and recommendations to senior stakeholders;
• Participate in architecture, API governance, AI ethics, and cloud committees.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 5 years designing, migrating, and operating production workloads on AWS, Azure, GCP, or IBM Cloud;
• Strong knowledge of systems architecture, distributed systems, scalability, resilience, OOP, OOAD, and middleware;
• Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures;
• Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible;
• Experience integrating SCA, SAST, DAST, or CSPM into CI/CD pipelines;
• Knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman, or similar Enterprise Architecture frameworks;
• Experience with risk management, gap analysis, SWOT, and TCO modelling;
• English B2 or higher;
• Availability for hybrid work in Lisbon.

Nice to Have

• IBM Cloud, IBM Cloud Pak, OpenShift on IBM Cloud, or OpenStack;
• AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or TOGAF certification;
• Financial-services experience;
• Knowledge of Data Science;
• Practical French.

You can translate complex architecture topics into clear recommendations and ensure that cloud initiatives meet security, regulatory, cost, and business requirements.
