About mima

mima is a growing Mediterranean fast-casual chain in Amsterdam. Fresh food, fast service, and a team that actually likes working together. We run three locations across the city and we are opening more, which means real room to grow for the right people.

The role

We are looking for a Shift Leader to lead the floor. You are the person in charge when you are on shift: you run service, keep the team sharp, and make sure guests leave happy. When the manager is in, you are their right hand. When they are off, you run the restaurant. You are the most capable person in the building after the manager, and you can step onto any station when it gets busy.

This is a role with a clear next step. We grow our managers from within, and our shift leaders are first in line to run the new locations we open. If you want to become a restaurant manager, this is the fastest route to it.

What you will do

• Run the shift: lead the team, manage the pace, keep service flowing Open and close the restaurant and keep it running smoothly Handle ordering and stock so nothing runs out Be the first point of contact for guests and sort out any issues on the spot Keep food quality, hygiene and HACCP standards high Support and train the crew, and help new starters find their feet Step up and run the restaurant when the manager is off

What we are looking for

• Some experience in hospitality or food service; supervisory experience is a plus, but we will back you if you are ready to step up A natural leader who stays calm under pressure and leads by doing Good with people, both your team and your guests Reliable and organised, and takes ownership without being asked Available for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends Good English; Dutch is a plus Allowed to work in the Netherlands

What we offer

• €17.00 per hour Free staff meals on shift 8% holiday pay and 25 vacation days on a full-time contract, prorated if you work part-time Pension and evening and weekend allowances under the hospitality CAO Proper training and a real path to becoming a Manager as we grow A good team and regular team events
