As a Group Principal Engineer, you will shape the engineering strategy for Octapharma’s developments. You will provide technical direction, drive engineering standards and best practices, and support major investment decisions to ensure efficient, aligned and compliant engineering solutions across the Group.
The position will be filled in Vienna (Austria), Springe (Germany), Stockholm (Sweden) or Lingolsheim (France).

Your main tasks and responsibilities
Shape and lead the engineering strategy for Greenfield developments, translating business requirements into engineering priorities
Review and challenge major investment plans, with a focus on Greenfield developments and business continuity risks
Define engineering standards and requirements for development projects
Act as a technical advisor across the organization within the area of expertise
Evaluate new technologies, methodologies and engineering approaches for potential improvements
Provide technical direction to teams involved in Greenfield developments and mentor junior engineers
Drive technical standardization across production lines to enable cross-site learning and training
Ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality requirements
Oversee the budget within the area of responsibility, ensuring cost-effectiveness
Your expertise and ideal skill set
Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
15+ years of broad engineering experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
Recognized technical expertise in complex engineering solutions and new technologies
Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements and risk management
Proven ability to shape engineering strategies and define technical standards
Strong business judgement with the ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders
Ability to drive technical alignment and best practices across sites
Willingness to travel internationally (around 30%)

Your department - where you make an impact
The Group Technical Organization consists of Group Engineering, Automation, and Maintenance. We are represented at all production sites in Europe.
You will work in a multinational organization supporting all production sites from a technical perspective.
The Engineering department mainly works on project development in the early phases of strategic projects.

Additional information (Austria only):
The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 5.710,82 based on 38 hours per week (full-time). As we strive to offer a salary that reflects your individual profile and qualifications, there is a willingness to pay above the minimum salary.
