ABOUT PROSERVARTNER
Proservartner is a global business services and transformation consultancy. We work with clients across Europe, the Middle East and Asia to design, build and run high-performing back-office and technology functions — combining process expertise, technology delivery and operational know-how.
THE ENGAGEMENT
Our client is a multinational logistics and transportation business operating across 60 markets, with plans to expand to 80. A newly appointed CFO is leading a full redesign of the finance function — moving it from an activity-based, market-by-market structure to a process-led, digital-first operating model built on three pillars: Global Process Owners for P2P, O2C and R2R; a Finance Data & Analytics Office; and business partnering controllers.
You will lead the establishment of the Finance Data & Analytics Office. This is a build role, not a reporting role. The client today has no consolidated group reporting capability, plans entirely in Excel, has no workflow automation for month-end close, and operates a chart of accounts that varies by market. You will put the foundations in place: data governance, a common data structure, an analytics platform, and the reporting and insight capability that the new finance operating model depends on.
Equally important is the capability transfer. The client's finance team has deep institutional knowledge but limited exposure to modern data governance and analytics practice. A core part of this engagement is building that capability locally — coaching, structuring the team, and leaving behind sustainable internal ownership rather than a dependency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and stand up the Finance Data & Analytics Office — target operating model, roles, governance and ways of working.
- Establish finance data governance: ownership, definitions, data quality standards, master data controls and stewardship across 60+ markets.
- Lead the chart of accounts renewal from a data perspective — defining the target structure and the mapping and migration approach across all markets.
- Define the finance data architecture and analytics platform requirements, and support tool selection and implementation alongside the client's technology teams.
- Build the reporting and insight layer that supports consolidated group reporting, planning and business partnering — including customer and segment profitability analysis.
- Partner with the Global Process Owners for P2P, O2C and R2R to ensure process design and data design are developed together, not sequentially.
- Establish the KPI and performance measurement framework for the finance function.
- Transfer knowledge to internal teams: coaching, structured upskilling, documentation and clear handover of ownership.
- Work with the CFO and senior stakeholders to sequence delivery, manage dependencies and report progress.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Track record establishing or leading a finance data and analytics function in a large, multi-country organisation.
- Hands-on finance data governance experience — master data, data quality frameworks, ownership models and data standards.
- Strong finance process understanding across P2P, O2C and R2R, and how process design drives data design.
- Chart of accounts design, rationalisation or migration experience in a multi-entity environment.
- Experience with enterprise analytics, planning and consolidation tooling — SAP Group Reporting, Anaplan, OneStream, BlackLine or comparable platforms.
- Working knowledge of SAP finance data structures, including in environments with legacy configuration and data quality issues.
- Demonstrable capability-building experience — coaching and upskilling client or internal teams, not just delivering outputs.
- Senior stakeholder management up to CFO level, with the credibility to challenge and influence.
- Willingness and ability to travel to Jordan for 2–3 weeks per month.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Consulting or advisory background delivering finance transformation programmes.
- Prior GBS or shared services centralisation experience, ideally including a centre build or ramp-up.
- Middle East delivery experience.
- Exposure to automation and AI-enabled finance operations.
- Arabic language skills.
WHAT WE OFFER
A genuinely greenfield build with executive sponsorship — you will define the data and analytics capability for a finance function of scale, from a standing start, with the CFO directly invested in the outcome. This is a visible, high-impact engagement with a clear mandate, and it sits alongside a wider Proservartner-led transformation programme covering global process ownership and transition management.
Proservartner is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of background.
