Head of Product, Lab & Studios

We are looking for a Head of Product, Lab & Studios to lead our product strategy, product management organization, and portfolio direction across our lab software solutions and existing hardware portfolio, enabling digital workflows for dental labs and clinics worldwide.

In this role, you will be accountable for defining product direction, strengthening our product organization, and ensuring alignment across our portfolio. You will ensure a coherent user experience across complex clinical workflows while enabling strong commercial outcomes, customer adoption, and long-term product success.

About the Role

This role combines product vision, organizational leadership, and commercial impact. You will define the long-term product strategy, ensure alignment across the Lab & Studios portfolio, and continue to evolve a product organization that consistently delivers customer and business value.

You will lead and develop a team of 7 experienced Product Managers, creating clarity, empowering decision-making, and helping them grow as product leaders. You will establish strong product practices and ways of working that enable clear prioritization, effective decision-making, and close collaboration across Product, Engineering, UX, and Commercial teams.

As a Head of Product, Lab & Studios at 3Shape, you will work at the intersection of technology, design, and professional dental workflows. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX designers, software developers, clinicians, and commercial stakeholders to ensure our products come together as a coherent ecosystem that solves real customer problems across the entire user journey.

A key part of the role is ensuring that product decisions translate into real-world adoption and customer value. This requires close partnership across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience to drive market impact and long-term business success.

What You’ll Do

• Define and own the long-term product vision and strategy for the Lab & Studios portfolio

• Lead, coach, and develop team of 7 Product Managers, strengthening a high-performing and empowered product organization

• Establish and continuously improve product practices, operating rhythms, and decision-making frameworks. Act as a role model for product thinking, discovery, prioritization, and strategic decision-making

• Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and other commercial functions to align customer needs, market opportunities, and product priorities to drive adoption, customer value, and commercial success

• Ensure alignment across products, workflows, and teams, creating a coherent end-to-end user experience across the Lab & Studios portfolio

• Drive portfolio prioritization and ensure a clear, outcome-driven roadmap across the portfolio, balancing commercial opportunities, customer value, innovation, reliability, lifecycle management, and technical investment

• Identify and drive initiatives that span multiple products, teams, or customer workflows where ownership does not naturally sit within a single product area

• Enable effective product execution through strong collaboration between Product, Engineering, UX, and Commercial teams

• Develop deep customer understanding and ensure product decisions are grounded in customer insight What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in product management within complex software products

• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing product managers, building high-performing product teams and a strong product culture.

• Experience defining product strategy and managing portfolios of products or complex product areas

• Strong ability to understand professional user workflows and translate customer needs into product direction

• Experience driving prioritization and roadmap decisions across complex products, balancing customer value, technical complexity, and business impact

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross-functional organizations around a shared vision

• Experience partnering with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and other commercial functions to drive adoption and business impact

• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional product development teams

Bonus Points

• Experience with 3D/CAD software, dental or regulated medical software
• Experience in dental, medical, or other healthcare technology

Travel is expected as part of the role, including customer visits, field research, industry events, and collaboration with colleagues and partners globally. You should expect approximately 20–30 days of travel per year.

You’ll report to the Senior Director of Product, Lab & Studios and become a key leader in the Lab & Studios product organization. You will lead and develop a team of 7 experienced Product Managers, supporting their growth and ensuring strong product leadership across the portfolio.

The role is based in our headquarters in the heart of Copenhagen by Kongens Nytorv.
