Responsibilities
Security Testing
Perform functional security and penetration testing on sensors, safety devices, industrial components, and software
Firmware & Protocol Testing
Test firmware, industrial communication protocols, Windows-based industrial software, embedded interfaces, and wireless technologies
Vulnerability Documentation
Document test steps, findings, vulnerabilities, and reproducibility details for identified product anomalies
Security Collaboration
Collaborate with developers and product security engineers to identify and improve product security
Test Automation
Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of security test automation solutions
Vulnerability Assessment
Perform product vulnerability assessments and security research across a variety of products
Threat Analysis
Monitor current and emerging attacks and assess their potential impact on relevant products
Planning & Processes
Participate in team planning and status activities while following departmental processes and procedures
Requirements
Hardware & Firmware Security
Experience with hardware and firmware security testing, including penetration testing
Networking Knowledge
Strong knowledge of networking and communication protocols, including TCP/IP and Ethernet
Security Testing Skills
Ability to perform and support security testing across hardware, firmware, software, and industrial technologies
Stakeholder Collaboration
Ability to gain and maintain stakeholder and decision-maker support to achieve product security and quality goals
Adaptability
Ability to adapt to changing requirements, identify needs, and work effectively with others to implement initiatives
Security Learning
Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, attack methods, and security concepts
Compliance & Ethics
Ability to follow policies and procedures covering business conduct, ethics, conflicts of interest, and required security training
Team & Process Awareness
Ability to work within established processes, participate in planning activities, and prioritize assignments effectively
