As a Commercial Contracts Legal Counsel, your mission is to strengthen the legal foundations of our retail and distribution business across the globe. This is a part-time, fixed-term role (2 days per week until December) for someone with deep, hands-on experience in retailer and distributor environments, who can help bring clarity, consistency and quality to our commercial agreements across all our regions (EMEA, Americas and APAC). You'll partner closely with our sales teams to create clear, consistent and commercially effective agreements that scale with our global growth.
You are part of the Legal team and report to the Head of Legal and Compliance. In your day-to-day work, you'll be supervised by and support our Commercial Legal Counsels, working under their guidance and direction to deliver on shared priorities.
What will you do
As a Commercial Contracts Legal Counsel at Bugaboo group, you'll bring clarity and consistency to how we contract with our retail and distribution partners worldwide, combining sharp legal judgement with a practical, commercial mindset.
Here are your key responsibilities:
Commercial contracting (retail & distribution)
- Draft, review and negotiate the range of agreements that power our routes to market, including distribution, reseller, retailer and e-commerce/marketplace arrangements, together with related trade terms and commercial policies.
- Help improve the clarity, consistency and quality of our commercial agreements across EMEA, Americas and APAC, balancing global consistency with the local legal and commercial requirements of each region.
- Partner with regional stakeholders and, where needed, external counsel to ensure our agreements are legally sound, commercially competitive and easy for the business to use.
- Support the development of internal guidance and standard positions so commercial teams can move quickly and consistently, worldwide.
Join us to make your legal expertise a force for progress, helping Bugaboo Group grow boldly, ethically, and with real-world impact.
What you will bring to the table
- Master of Laws (LLM), preferably with a focus on commercial or contract law.
- 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, with strong, demonstrable experience in retailer and distribution environments - ideally gained within a global consumer or retail brand.
- Proven track record drafting and negotiating distribution, retailer and e-commerce agreements, with experience developing standardised or consistent contractual approaches, ideally across multiple jurisdictions or regions.
- Comfort working internationally, with the ability to balance global consistency against local legal and commercial nuance.
- Working knowledge of the legal frameworks relevant to distribution, including competition/antitrust principles, consumer protection and commercial terms of sale.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into business-friendly, commercially pragmatic advice.
- Agile and adaptable, with a proactive approach to shifting priorities and emerging risks.
- Open-minded and collaborative, with a passion for working across diverse, fast-moving teams.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
You'll leverage your expertise to protect the Company's interests and contribute to its growth.
