MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Logistician to join our vehicle sustainment team in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The selected candidate will provide maintenance support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
*Important Note*: Selected candidates without an ACTIVE German/E.U. Work Visa will be required to work the first 60 days in a Temporary role while obtaining their Visa. Once an E.U. Work Visa is approved, then you will be offered a Full-Time German Contract. If accepted, then you will be subjected to paying German taxes, obtaining German Healthcare, and working within the guidelines of the German labor system.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership and management for all assigned logisticians and supply clerks.
- Analyze and coordinate the logistical functions of the organization.
- Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery and final disposal of resources.
- Record, maintain and initiate work order documentation for acquisition of component items from vendors.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 9+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's OR 15 years of relevant experience.
- Should have a minimum of 1+ yrs. of experience in the use of Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), GCSS-A or DOD equivalent to ensure military supply system proficiency and managing inventory and maintenance records without requiring basic software training.
- Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with military or commercial logistics supply system as well as automated and manual supply systems and equipment serviceability standards and criteria.
- Willingness to accept temporary US or OCONUS transfers to other assignments, if needed.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.
- Applicants hired as local nationals in Germany must have a current favorable LNSP or be eligible to obtain one. Non-German applicants without a current favorable LNSP must have resided in Germany for at least 12 consecutive months to be eligible for LNSP.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard for long periods of time.
