Project Manager, Strategy & M&A

DANX Carousel is looking for a Project Manager, Strategy & M&A to join our team.

About the Role:

Strategy and M&A is a team within the Group Finance organisation, responsible for the group's strategic agenda, acquisitions and post-merger integrations. We are looking for a Project Manager to run strategic initiatives, cross-functional projects and integrations from scoping through to delivery, owning the plan, governance and stakeholder management. On integrations, you will own planning and execution across functions and make sure the value identified in a deal is actually delivered.

You will report to the Head of Strategy and M&A, work closely with colleagues across Group Finance and the wider group, and be based at our headquarters in Ishøj. Expect some travel in Europe, as integration work means spending time with the teams and sites involved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead post-merger integration projects end to end - from pre-close planning through to hand-over to business as usual - owning the plan, governance and milestones.
• Coordinate workstream leads across functions and keep integration activities aligned and on schedule.
• Track synergy realisation and ensure deal value is delivered.
• Report progress and risks to steering committees and executive management, keeping decision-makers ahead of the issues.
• Drive strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects, from operational improvement to group-wide transformation.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the group, unblocking issues and escalating when decisions are needed.
• Develop and improve our project and integration playbooks to embed best practice across the group.

What We Are Looking For

Essential:

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering Management or similar.
• 2–4 years of experience running projects, including hands-on involvement in post-merger integrations — ideally from management consulting, a corporate PMO or a transformation office.
• Analytical and structured, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English.
• Strong project management skills, with hands-on experience of project tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira or similar), Excel and PowerPoint.

Desired:

• A project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Prosci.
• Familiarity with the logistics industry.
• Experience in a fast-paced changing environment (private equity or similar).
