Company Overview
Our client is a major organisation navigating a significant corporate carve-out, undertaking a strategic transformation to establish independent commercial systems and processes. This transformation involves replacing legacy group-owned platforms, consolidating fragmented internal tools, and building a unified technology foundation that will support their future growth. The programme operates within strict time constraints and requires careful coordination across multiple workstreams, stakeholder groups and technology platforms. This is a pivotal moment in the organisation's evolution, offering the opportunity to shape their commercial operations for years to come.
They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of their Polaris initiative, a business-critical programme designed to replace time-limited systems and create a single, unified platform for commercial operations. This is a high-impact contract role based in Krakow, offering the chance to drive meaningful change during a transformative period.
Position Overview
As Project Manager, you will own the complete delivery lifecycle of a strategic transformation programme. Your role centres on replacing legacy quotation and order management systems accessible only through a time-limited Transition Service Agreement, while simultaneously consolidating multiple internal commercial tools into one unified platform. You'll navigate the complexities of corporate separation, manage cross-functional dependencies, and ensure zero business disruption throughout the transition. This position requires strong governance, stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver under tight timelines with significant business consequences.
Responsibilities
- Establish comprehensive programme governance covering roadmap planning, milestone tracking, risk and issue management, change control processes, and budget oversight
- Coordinate the replacement of legacy systems before TSA expiry, planning and executing phased migration activities while maintaining uninterrupted business operations
- Oversee the implementation of a unified platform that consolidates existing configurator and pricing tools, eliminating system fragmentation
- Integrate legacy exit strategies with global process standards, ensuring alignment across all workstreams and geographies
- Create flexible integration approaches and contingency plans to address uncertainties in parallel S4HANA and Salesforce deployments
- Facilitate collaboration across international cross-functional teams, providing regular executive updates and resolving delivery blockers
- Prepare the organisation for go-live through operational readiness planning, user adoption activities and post-launch support coordination
Requirements
- 6-8 years of project management experience, ideally including corporate carve-out, separation or divestiture programmes
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-workstream technology transformations with hard deadlines and business continuity requirements
- Strong expertise in programme governance disciplines including RAID management, change control, vendor management and budget tracking
- Experience delivering system replacements or migrations, particularly involving quotation, order management or commercial platforms
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop contingency plans when working with evolving requirements or parallel dependencies
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across senior leadership, technical teams and business users in global organisations
- Understanding of TSA constraints and the urgency required when delivering within time-bound transition agreements
- Familiarity with operational readiness, user adoption and hypercare support planning
Benefits

You'll work on a high-visibility programme with direct impact on business continuity and future commercial operations, gaining valuable experience in corporate separation and large-scale platform transformation.
