In this role, you will be anchored in the Beverages Applied R&D department but work cross-functionally within the Food & Beverage Applied R&D area that develop and produce food and beverage samples in an R&D setting. You will support teams in translating internal Novonesis requirements, applicable country legislation, and ISO 22000 expectations into practical workflows, documentation, and ways of working that enable certification readiness
The Role & Your Impact
As a Quality Assistant , you will play a key role in supporting ISO 22000 certification readiness across multiple departments within Food & Beverage Applied R&D.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teams in understanding and applying food safety standards and ISO 22000 requirements
- Helping identify, document, and close gaps in current workflows, procedures, and food safety practices
- Developing and updating procedures, records, and other required documentation
- Translating quality and food safety requirements into practical, sustainable ways of working
- Collaborating closely with the Food & Beverage Applied R&D teams, quality coordinators, food safety specialists, and other stakeholders involved in ISO 22000 readiness
This is a hands-on and execution-focused role , where your contribution will directly strengthen our certification readiness and foster ownership of quality and food safety processes across the Food & Beverage Applied R&D departments.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
To thrive in this role, we expect you to have:
- A Master’s degree in Food Technology or similar, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience in quality, food safety, or process improvement within the food and beverage industry
- Knowledge of food safety management systems, including:
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Documentation requirements for food safety certification
- Strong ability to interpret internal requirements, applicable food legislation, and food safety standards and translate them into practical solutions
- Solid documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent written and spoken English
Additional Skills & Interests We Value
Experience with ISO 22000 or a similar food safety management system will be considered an advantage, along with prior exposure to R&D, pilot plant, laboratory, manufacturing, or quality assurance environments. We also value candidates who have worked in cross-functional settings, as this role involves collaboration across multiple teams and disciplines within Food & Beverages Applied R&D.

Ways of Working / Working Conditions
This role is primarily office-based, with work taking place at our locations in Denmark (Lyngby and Hørsholm). We offer flexible working hours, with a preference for being present during core collaboration hours to ensure close alignment with colleagues across teams. The position involves regular interaction with multiple stakeholders, and while collaboration is mainly local to start with, there may be opportunities to engage with global colleagues over time. Travel is expected to be limited.
