About Aresa Aresa Shipyard develops naval solutions tailored to the real needs of each operator, combining experience, engineering and industrial capability to deliver highly demanding international projects. Our vessels are designed for demanding missions and specific operational requirements, serving public and private operators across international markets.
Your Mission The professional vessel market demands far more than commercial expertise. It requires the ability to understand each project, interpret complex operational needs and turn them into technically sound, competitive and viable proposals.
At Aresa, we are looking to incorporate an International Sales Representative to join our commercial team. Aresa works primarily with international clients, distributors and institutions, so this role is global by nature: you will manage the full business development process, from identifying opportunities to preparing and following up on proposals and tenders, working closely with our technical, financial and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
➡ Identify and develop new business opportunities in international markets.
➡ Manage commercial relationships with clients, distributors, strategic partners and institutions worldwide.
➡ Analyse technical and commercial tender documentation.
➡ Prepare, coordinate and follow up on international tenders and commercial proposals.
➡ Develop commercial proposals in collaboration with technical, financial and production teams.
➡ Follow projects from the initial opportunity stage through negotiation and closing.
➡ Monitor orders, delivery times and post-sale commercial follow-up.
➡ Keep the company's CRM / management system updated with commercial activity.
➡ Represent Aresa at trade fairs, commercial missions, meetings and international presentations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in international sales or business development, ideally within shipbuilding, professional vessels, defence, security, rescue, transport or maritime services.
- High-level / fluent English, both written and spoken — this is essential given the international nature of the role.
- Strong ability to interpret technical documentation and translate it into solid commercial proposals.
- Comfortable acting as the main point of contact for international clients, suppliers and partners. Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Organised, autonomous and results-oriented way of working.
- Availability for regular international travel.
- Knowledge of public and private tendering processes.
- Technical background or training related to naval/marine engineering.
Nice to Have:
➡French, Italian and/or Portuguese language skills.
➡An existing network of contacts within the naval, defence, maritime or industrial sectors. ➡Experience using CRM and sales/ERP management tools.
What We're Looking For A professional who is serious and reliable, proactive and results-driven, well organised, and a strong relationship-builder who also works well within a team, someone technically curious enough to turn a complex operational problem into a clear commercial solution.
