Business Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead structured discovery, interviews and workshops with KPI owners, reporting teams, sectors, programme teams and countries
- Map current processes, systems, data flows, pain points, controls, ownership and manual effort, then design proportionate future-state processes
- Gather, analyse, document and prioritise business, functional and non-functional requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules
- Define KPI metadata, including definitions, calculation logic, source, frequency, disaggregation, evidence, ownership, approval, validation and audit trail
- Translate requirements into clear inputs for Power Apps, Power Automate, Data Engineering and Power BI delivery, keeping traceability from business need to build, testing and sign-off
- Lead discovery into stakeholder and organisational engagement data by inventorying sources, identifying duplication and gaps, assessing options, and recommending standards, ownership and governance
- Act as the link between business stakeholders, the Data Engineer or Power Platform developer, and the BI Analyst, helping resolve ambiguity and support delivery decisions
- Plan and coordinate UAT, capture defects and decisions, and support business readiness, guidance, handover and benefits tracking
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst (at least 4 years) on data, reporting, digital or business-process transformation across multiple functions or geographies
- Strong requirements skills, including workshops, interviews, observation, process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements
- Able to analyse KPI and reporting needs and define data definitions, business rules, validation, ownership, approvals, controls and audit requirements
- Experience producing clear analysis artefacts, such as requirements catalogues, traceability matrices, as-is/to-be processes, options appraisals and discovery reports
- Confident communicator and facilitator, able to work with senior, operational and technical stakeholders and constructively challenge to reach agreement
- Comfortable working independently through ambiguity, prioritising an achievable MVP and managing dependencies, risks, assumptions, issues and decisions
- Good working knowledge of data quality, governance, privacy, security and accessibility considerations for reporting solutions
- Experience supporting UAT, business sign-off, adoption and transition into business-as-usual support
Nice to have:
- Experience with corporate performance, impact measurement, KPI frameworks, management information or external assurance reporting
- Practical familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI; this is not primarily a technical development role
- Experience in a global, matrixed, public-sector or international organisation; or equivalent process modelling; Agile delivery
