The Opportunity
Are you passionate about innovation and supply chain excellence? Join our team as an R&D Supply Chain Management Specialist, where you will play a critical role in bridging Research & Development and Supply Chain Management to bring groundbreaking products to market.
In this role, you will integrate supply chain expertise into the product development process, ensuring that materials, suppliers, costs, quality, and timelines are aligned to support successful innovation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and project management to drive efficiency, sustainability, and business success.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead and coordinate all supply chain activities for assigned R&D projects, ensuring successful execution and timely delivery.
- Act as the key Supply Chain representative within R&D projects and serve as the main interface between engineering, procurement, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Integrate supply chain requirements into product development activities to optimize cost, quality, and technical performance.
- Develop and evaluate value chain strategies for new products, considering total cost of ownership and long-term sustainability.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and resources required for R&D programs and identify opportunities to improve material flow and processes.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities, and implement mitigation plans to ensure project continuity.
- Coordinate deliverables across the Supply Chain organization, including category management, supplier quality, procurement, and factory SCM teams.
- Support project gate reviews by preparing SCM deliverables, documentation, reports, and stakeholder presentations
Your Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field and minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, R&D, Procurement, or a related environment.
- Experience in sourcing, supplier management, and supply chain processes across a project-based environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining a high standard of quality and delivery.
- Experience in risk management, cost optimization, project management, or sustainability initiatives is considered an advantage.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:
Italy: starting from 52,700 € gross annual salary, Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
