About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Python Developer to join an international Risk Systems team, contributing to the core framework used for data integration and the calculation of market and counterparty risk metrics.

You will work within an eight-person team in a multicultural, Scaled Agile environment, collaborating with colleagues across different locations.

The role also offers opportunities to contribute to innovation initiatives in process automation, artificial intelligence, development technologies and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable Python code.
• Build rapid prototypes to evaluate new concepts and technical approaches.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure application performance, quality and responsiveness.
• Deliver application improvements incrementally to meet evolving user requirements.
• Collaborate with international teams and contribute to shared innovation initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Python proficiency, including knowledge of its ecosystem and architectural patterns.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming.
• Experience with SQL and an industry-standard relational database.
• Experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Understanding of the design principles behind scalable applications.
• English at C1 level, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex information to different audiences.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Critical thinking, sound judgement and a strong sense of responsibility.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Agile and SAFe practices.

You are a Python developer who enjoys building reliable frameworks, improving performance and solving complex technical problems. You combine strong programming fundamentals with practical testing skills and an interest in data-intensive applications.
