The Client
Datacenter People is partnering with a leading European integrated power solutions manufacturer, a brand independent supplier of power systems for mission critical sectors including data center.
What The Job Involves
- Make technical decisions based on data, guidelines, and experience, making you the ideal professional for this structured, results-driven role.
- Work closely with project, design, and installation teams. You ensure compliance with regulations and carry out detailed performance tests before the system is handed over to the customer.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding technical questions about the installation and supervise the activities required for the preparation, execution, and reporting of FAT and SAT.
- Perform structured testing on generators, and you verify each system for correctness and safety to ensure everything operates as designed.
- During testing, you analyse technical issues and provide targeted solutions, always based on a logical and factual approach.
- You work with our in-house–designed generator control system, where you manage the automatic changeover between the main power supply and emergency power, ensuring flawless synchronisation of multiple generators.
- With our system, you can quickly diagnose faults through detailed data logging, ensuring reliable operation of emergency power installations.
- You ensure that all emergency power systems comply with applicable standards and specific project requirements, working meticulously to ensure everything is correct down to the smallest detail.
- Commissioning of fuel systems.
- Full commissioning of urea systems.
- You carefully document all test results and processes in reports, providing clear documentation that meets project requirements and relevant standards.
We Are Looking For Someone With
- MBO level 4 education, for example in Maritime Studies, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Working language: German and English (conversational level).
- Willingness to work abroad approximately 70% of the time.
- Willingness to follow additional training related to emergency power installations
- At least 5 years of experience in testing and commissioning in environments such as wind farms, the oil and gas industry, mobile power solutions, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in programming and modifying PLCs and ComAp systems
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, preferably in emergency generators or CHP (combined heat and power) systems.
- An analytical mindset and strong attention to detail—you understand that every technical detail matters and leave nothing to chance.
- The ability to work independently in an ambitious environment, following clear guidelines and executing every step according to plan.
