Swinging Old Lady Brewery is a craft brewery on the Otrobanda waterfront in Willemstad, Curaçao, housed in a monumental building next to the Queen Emma Bridge. We brew all our beers on site in small batches and serve them fresh in our own taproom.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, entry-level Assistant Brewer to join our production team. This is a hands-on role where you will be trained and mentored by our Head Brewer, gradually developing the skills to become an independent brewer.

What you will do

Brewing & production:

• Prepare ingredients: malt, hops and yeast
• Assist with mashing, boiling and fermentation
• Monitor brewing processes and record measurements
• Support quality control and report irregularities
• Operate brewery equipment safely

Beer processing:

• Assist with yeast removal and tank management
• Transfer beer between fermentation tanks and bright beer tanks
• Learn carbonation procedures
• Maintain hoses, pumps and transfer equipment

Hygiene & quality:

• Perform cleaning and sanitation of tanks, pipelines and work areas
• Maintain product quality and food safety standards
• Follow brewery safety and hygiene protocols

Warehouse & logistics:

• Receive and organize raw materials and supplies
• Assist with inventory management
• Keep storage areas organized

What we are looking for

• A genuine interest in craft beer and brewing
• A positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
• A practical, hands-on approach to work
• Reliability and attention to detail
• A team player, comfortable with physical work (lifting, cleaning, standing for extended periods)
• No previous brewing experience required
