What You'll Do
As a dedicated and detail-oriented Tender Management Senior Specialist, you will play a key role in our bid management activities, ensuring seamless execution of tender processes for the EU Commission and other EU institutions, contributing to commercial excellence and the strategic positioning of BCG in the EU. Your key responsibilities include screening, preparing, submitting, and tracking relevant tenders while ensuring strict compliance, high-quality content, and timely delivery. You will independently manage the collection of administrative and technical documents, coordinating multiple internal stakeholders and our external partners across various tender projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the primary contact point for designated tenders and coordinating the entire tender process from requirement screening to tender submission
- Supporting the screening of relevant calls for tenders on the EU Funding & Tenders portal and preparing insights for the account leadership team to support decision-making, including analysis of the competitive landscape
- Analyzing, gathering, and organizing necessary information for tender submissions, with a focus on administrative specifications
- Drafting, formatting, reviewing, and consolidating extensive and diverse administrative and technical tender documents under tight deadlines, including CVs and project references, supported by AI tools
- Conducting thorough background research to strengthen tender preparation and enhance bid quality
- Coordinating and guiding multiple internal international stakeholders and external partners to obtain necessary approvals and complete required documentation before submission deadlines
- Proactively establishing internal planning and deadlines for administrative documents to ensure timely and compliant tender submission via designated channels
- Ensuring compliance with client requirements as well as internal procedures and standards; liaising with relevant departments, such as legal and risk teams, as needed
- Supporting the contracting of external partners in close collaboration with the legal team
- Maintaining and updating bid and contract records
- Conducting post-submission reviews to capture lessons learned, improve future tender processes, and contribute to knowledge management by updating templates and maintaining a library of reusable content
- Monitoring EU policy priorities and EU funding allocation updates
- Supporting the reporting to senior internal stakeholders on new opportunities aligned with strategic yearly objectives
- Onboarding and providing guidance to internal teams on proposal expectations, deadlines and best practices for EU tender preparation and submission

YOU BRING
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, public administration, public policy, international relations, or a related discipline)
- Prior knowledge of the functioning of EU institutions and a good understanding of EU policy priorities, namely in Climate&Energy, Defense&Security and Enlargement.
- Over five years of experience managing complex tender submissions for the EU Commission and other EU institutions, ideally for a management consultancy
- Proven ability to analyze large volumes of online calls for tenders, identifying the most relevant opportunities for BCG
- Capable of managing tender processes independently, including preparing administrative documents and coordinating stakeholders
- Strong decision-making skills, able to operate autonomously within established guidelines while effectively advising and coordinating internal stakeholders and external partners
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills; with a strong track record in execution, ownership, prioritization, and accountability
- Solid analytical skills, including business reporting and structured problem-solving (e.g., applying general guidelines across multiple cases)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at various seniority levels across global, cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Professional, service-oriented, proactive, and adaptable approach with a strong sense of ownership
- Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe; familiarity with CRM or project management tools is a plus
- Capable of leveraging AI tools for process and task efficiency
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to expand BCG’s footprint in the EU, demonstrating adaptability and initiative
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in French and/or German is a plus
Who You'll Work With
You will collaborate closely with the EU account leadership team, the EU Business Development team, as well as international leaders and teams across practices and sectors, contributing to various tender processes.
