The Role
You will work directly with me and the COO on whatever most needs solving that week, and you will hold ownership in the company while you do it. Financial models, board and investor material, commercial outreach, customer follow-up, and the administrative work that keeps a company moving: you take it on, and you proactively offload me across a broad set of tasks. As you learn the company, the industries and the clients, you increasingly take the lead, shaping your own path as well as the company's.
This is deliberately a stepping-stone role, and the expectation is that you outgrow it as you automate tasks away and help scale the company. The person I am looking for here is the same kind as the COO; the difference is seniority. The COO arrives ready to run a company. You arrive ready to learn that at maximum speed, and to earn scope faster than a title would normally allow. An honest filter: if what you want next is a comfortable title, this will frustrate you. If what you want is the steepest slope available, keep reading.
What success looks like
The company targets are the same ones the COO carries: deliver the €13M Letter of Intent, which by our own math supports roughly six times today's valuation on its own, and multiply the company's value thirty times within four years, in a market far larger than that. Success for you specifically: within a year you own the financial model, the board pack and a set of automations the company depends on, and you have earned the lead on one of the areas you took on. Your stake is meant to multiply with the company; that is the core of this deal.
What you will do
- Take on a broad range of operational, financial and administrative tasks, learning the company bottom up while progressively taking on more responsibility and leadership.
- Work with me and the COO to build the company AI-first: automate whatever you touch, so that the leverage compounds for you and for the company.
- Prepare the analysis behind pricing, market sizing, and go-to-market decisions. Build and own the financial model, the board pack, and the investor update
- Run parts of the commercial pipeline end to end: account research, outreach, follow-up, and CRM discipline
- Support the preparation of the next funding round
- Take on the work you see is needed without being asked, and grow your role in the direction where you create the most value
Must have
- 2+ years at a top-tier strategy consultancy, investment bank, private equity firm, or a comparable analytical function
- Experience from a startup in a leading role where you drove outcomes rather than observed them
- Strong conceptual and analytical ability. You have built a model that a real decision was made on
- Self-motivation and high energy: you set your own agenda and act without supervision
- Strong practical use of AI to automate your own work, with something concrete you can show
Nice to have
- Founding experience of your own, however small the outcome
- Enough SQL, Python, or scripting to automate a process end to end
- Interest in heavy industry, hardware, or energy
- Experience with fundraising processes or investor reporting
What you get
Options from the company's option pool, and a competitive salary. I will not put a percentage in an ad, but the principle is the same for everyone here: real ownership, with a real possibility to grow it very significantly as your role grows. You also get the same transparency as everyone else: the numbers, the pipeline, the cap table, the runway. And the steepest learning curve I can offer.
Education
MSc in Business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent, with strong academic results. A different background is considered given a documented track record of analytical work at a high standard.
Experience level
4+ years combining a top-tier analytical employer with startup exposure. I am looking for someone early in their career but already demonstrably ahead of their peers, and who will grow into a senior position as the company scales.
